For a piece that is only one and three quarter inches across, Mary Rose spends a lot of time on a brooch. The frame is rolled out and cut, then the little vase shape and the flowers are made and built on top, before it's allowed to dry and has the colour painted on, then fired and glaze fired again. Finally the brooch pin is glued on the back.
